Corsica is an exceptional place
for a yacht charter vacation with many typical villages
and unspoiled places for yachts to anchor. Corsica is
the most mountainous in the Mediterranean and is a spectacular
yacht charter destination. You will find picturesque villages,
crystal-clear water, and your choice of splendid cruising
itineraries. With six hundred miles of coastline to discover,
there is a lot to explore on Corsica alone. A two-week
itinerary is necessary if you aim to sail completely around
Corsica, a trip of more than 300 nautical miles. A one-way
itinerary might be a good idea if you don’t have
that sort of time. The southern part of Corsica is separated
form Sardinia by a short strait, only few miles long.
Corsica offer all the types of yacht charter such as bareboat charter, skippered, crewed yacht charter, catamaran, sailboat, motoryacht and luxury yacht charter.
Climate
Corsica has a Mediterranean climate. Prevailing winds are south-westerly, westerly and north-westerly. This, of course, varies considerably with altitude and mountain forms. At about 1500 metres it becomes alpine. Micro climates give a wide variety of temperatures and rainfall. This is especially true between the north-west and the south-east, as the main mountain range divides the island roughly in half. As a general rule the north is hotter than the south.
Summers are long - from May till October. Winters can be cold and there's generally snow on the highest peaks until June, but by then, the ambient temperature is in the mid-20s°C [mid 70s°F]. The average for the year is 12° [about 54°F].

The marinas in Corsica are adapted to accommodating yachts of all sizes and correspond to the level of French national equipment. The island counts 16 ports, that is to say more than 6 500 berths including 30% reserved for passage, which represent more than 60 000 stopovers a year.
